How to be a Hepburn in a Hilton World

Last time Helena and I were in Borders, I was seriously weighing the merits (and the gross tonnage) of various 2010 Complete Guide to Colleges Around the Globe -You know, those doorstop books with newsprint thin pages and microscopic print that tell you everything you never thought to ask about every institute of higher learning that ever existed- when Helena ran off with an 'Oh my gosh, do you think they have it?!' sort of comment and returned with this book.

I agreed to buy it for her. She enjoyed reading it, then said she wanted to loan it out to her friend, Caitlin. I asked her to let me read it first. What a great book for any young woman to read these days! I thought at first that this was one of those Deseret Book kind of authors, but was pleased to find that it wasn't!

Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against the churchy set. I just really like to see a down to earth and helpful book coming from a secular point of view! It is good to have some concrete here-and-now reasons to be classy that have nothing to do with making it to the Celestial Kingdom.

So here is my current read. It will be joining the other books on the shelf once I am finished with it.
