My Gingerbread House

Since I was already making gingerbread and icing for Helena's 'day date', I decided that I might as well make enough to be able to build my own gingerbread house, too!

This is what I did while Helena was off on her evening date.

Please notice Daniel's fire pit has been installed in the side yard.  The snowman was created by my son, Will.  He is very creative and made all of the yard decor, other than Daniel's fire pit.

This is a close up on the door mat that Will designed.  He dipped a toothpick into the food dye bottle, then wrote with it on a Necco wafer.  He did the same thing with a different candy that turned into a mailbox and wrote 'Watson - 84003' on it.  I can't believe I failed to get a picture of the mailbox!

Here are some archery targets Will designed.  It is hard to see in this shot, but the black thing leaning up against the target is a bow.

Please note the dog house and the well, both designed by Will!

The roof line.  I thought this house turned out rather well.  It will make a nice centerpiece this holiday season!
