No, it is not Swine Flu. I know that is the first thing everyone thinks of these days.
I can feel a sinus infection/head cold coming on. I actually noticed it yesterday and thought, 'I should get some sub plans ready just in case.'
I didn't.
So, last night I slept very poorly because I was congested. I got up at 3 a.m. to take a second dose of decongestant. This morning I did not want to get up! I ended up dragging out of bed 1/2 an hour later than usual. I really didn't want to come to work today.
Yet, here I am. I thought about finding a 1/2 day sub and going home early, but couldn't find one. So I get to put on a smiley face and try not to let the kids drive me bonkers.
I guess it is just as well, since I have a city art council meeting to attend tonight.
I think I'll try to find a sub for tomorrow.
