This post is about an event that actually happened on July 8th... before Bill's accident. It was a Date Night. Every Friday night for several years has been "Date Night". The kids stay home with pizza while Bill and I head out for dinner and sometimes some adventures.
Date Night dinner is almost always Rubio's. Bill and I both love their food and have come to know the managers and workers well. On this particular evening, the manager, Eva, decided to treat us to our dinner. So, after we ordered, she discounted the entire meal! We have been regulars at Rubio's for over two years now and this is the second time they have given us a free meal! They almost always comp our sodas, but this was an especially pleasant surprise.
It was such a pleasant evening, that we decided to drive up the canyon and out to Squaw Peak to admire the view.

Squaw Peak is a 'romantic' place to bring a date to watch the sun set. We left not long after I took this shot so this couple could enjoy the sunset alone.
We decided we needed a sno shack treat to complete our date, so we kept our eyes peeled and soon found just the thing! I loved that the prices were very reasonable for HUGE portions! This is the small!
The sunset was still beautiful, as seen from the car instead of the peak.
