I really don't have anything inspired or uplifting to say tonight.
Had a good day at work today.
Went to spin cycle class tonight.
Mostly avoided sugar. My yogurt has some sugar in it, but I don't count that in the overall scheme of things. I had one Girl Scout Thin Mint after lunch today. That's it. Gah! Afternoon cravings are hard. I made it just by being stubborn.
Wasn't my best self with my kids tonight. Especially my daughter. She had a 'bad' day today though she couldn't pinpoint the cause. Her 'bad' mood rubbed off on me and I wasn't the better person I should have been. Darn it.
Discovered that my son has been struggling to understand his math alone because he thought I wouldn't be able to help him due to a miscommunication. I had made the comment that he'd soon be at a math level that I wouldn't be able to help with... meaning that in future years, when he is in calculus and statistics, he will have moved beyond my level of math education. He mistook me to mean that I wouldn't be able to help him this year in Algebra 2. He seemed rather relieved to find out that I CAN help with it after all. Though, I also recommended he stop in at the school's math lab after school tomorrow for help from tutors and teachers.
Found out that my daughter currently has straight As, even in her AP classes. Her dad promised he'd buy her a car at the end of the year if she pulls straight As for the entire year.
Hmmm. Here's hoping for that 4.0 and a great auto deal!
