First Day Back at the Gym

I am still coughing.  A lot.

I am getting depressed and frustrated all at the same time.  I decided that I just can't wait any longer for this cough to go away.  I just HAD to work up a sweat!  Oh, how I had missed it!  Isn't that funny?  Missing jogging on the treadmill and sweating like a pig?  There is something about keeping my heart at an elevated rate that just makes me insanely happy at about the 30 minute mark.  It is indescribable.

I wasn't sure if I would be able to sustain my heart rate for very long before my lungs closed down, so I took it easy.  After all, this was my first time back in almost a month!

Happily, I was able to keep it up for 45 minutes, and even was able to increase my speed towards the end.  I was a bit disgusted that I only managed a 5K in that time, but I plan to go again tomorrow and do better.

I am coughing a bunch again tonight, but I am not going to let that stop me from going to the gym anymore, since exercising doesn't seem to make the coughing worse.

Hurray!

I think it's great that even with a cough you worked out! I hope your cough is gone soon!
